Industrie Kitchen and cafe in Taupō

"We had a lovely experience at Industrie Kitchen in Taupo. The service was warm, the food came out fresh and the atmosphere was great. Everything we ordered was delicious and well-presented. The industrie breakfast ? Huge portion and good for two!! The almond croissant was an absolute winner — a bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth the price! The only thing that wasn’t quite to our preference was the sausage, as it had a spice that didn’t suit our taste — but that’s purely personal preference and not a reflection of the kitchen’s quality. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back again!"

"Industrie Kitchen & Café is a perfect stop just off the highway — ideal if you're on a long trip and need a coffee break. Their coffee hits the spot every time, and the place is always buzzing (a good sign!). The staff are super friendly — they call me “dear” and “love,” which is kinda cute. There’s a lovely lady with green eyes and braided hair who’s always around to help, even giving you road updates if you’re heading towards Desert Road. The menu is huge, so if you're indecisive like me, just go for the carrot cake — honestly one of the best I’ve had. It's definitely worth pulling over for!"

"12noon Thursday. V busy. Not a relaxed place when staff flat out ( inside). No wonder busy though. Food devine. Food came out Quickly. Best Eggs bene I've ever had. Stunning Carmel doughnut! "We are the best customers at Industrie. Have not missed a day since it opened. The staff are incredibly good and pleasant to deal with. The coffee is up there with best cafes in NZ , we are fussy buggers. Food is wonderful. We were reluctant to post this review because it may bring in new customers, we want this place to ourselves"

"This is the third time we have visited this place on our way to Napier. Amazing food , quick service , and located near the SH1 intersection roundabout, along with a few other shops and a gas station. This time, we tried the Fried chicken burger (which was darn amazing), and the Croque Monsieur (which was all right). Banana smoothie comes with honey and ice cream, which makes it amazing. Portions are generous sized, but could have kept it a tad more affordable. Felt the pinch, even coming from Auckland ;-) They have got an option of outdoor seating which is good. I'm definitely going to try the nachos, and the pulled pork burger, the next time I'm there. Cheers !!"

"Busy cafe with an "industrial" setting. The industrie breakfast was a big plate with tasty pesto; The pain au raisin was very good; The almond croissant was more brioche like than puff pastry, not as good."

"Local fave. Delicious coffee, whether you sit & stay or grab & go. Yummy selection of pastries and savoury food in the cabinets. My menu favourites are the salmon eggs bene (the potato rosti is such a tasty addition - not what you'd expect), and if you're keen for a sweet meal the french toast is bloody good. Pick the 'smoked salmon' dish if you're after something fresh, tasty and light. Some of the staff know me by name and welcome me each time I go in, awesome service!"
